Will a dropped charge show up on a background check?

I am worried about a job I have applied for, regarding the background check. I was charged with a ridiculous (should not of been arrested) misdemeanor domestic violence charge. The charges were dropped, and I was released on my own recognizance. There were no further court dates, and to my recollection, i never pleaded guilty/not guilty. Will this adversely affect a background check? I live in the state of Florida, if it is any help.
