Trying to remember cartoon from childhood?

The show was about humanoid dinosaurs that live in a space ship, I think, and I want to say there were kids that worked with them kinda of like the original transformers. I have no recollection of who the bad guy was but I remember whenever they would leave the ship to go fight they would jump through a portal and transform into full sized dinosaurs. If anyone remember it would be awesome I've been racking my brain for quite awhile. I've already asked all my friends but none of them remembers the cartoon at all...maybe it was just my five year old imagination.
